Camilles At Pettits is a coffee shop, situated on the first floor of Pettits of Wallingford on Mary Street in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
Pettits of Wallingford is a privately owned department store since 1856 and founded by William Pettit. It has been a distincitive and lasting feature of this old town, its very old fashioned in its presentation with a flavour of "Are You Being Served". The store remained in the Pettit Family until 1987 when the company was sold to the Rowse family with Richard Rowse being the current Managing Director.
It's a place to relax, meet with family and friends, check your shopping list or read the morning papers whilst sipping a cup of Rombout's Coffee.
Camille Scott welcomes you to Camilles at Pettits, she took over the coffee shop in 1996 and now runs it with a team of ladies who are equally welcoming and work to the highest standards. A few years ago the coffee shop was renovated with a new enlarged kitchen and more seating, it has now been refurbished again to provide you, the customer, with a more comfortable visit... and you may also have noticed that a new lift has recently been installed to aid access to the first and second floor of the store.
The Coffee Shop is open from 9.30am until 4.30pm daily (except for Sundays and Bank Holidays), we serve a variety of homemade and freshly prepared food until 2.30pm including breakfasts and light lunches. We have a "specials" board each day which may include dishes such as Cottage Pie, Beef and Vegetable Stew, Fillet of Smoked Trout with salad and Lasagne. After 2.30pm a more limited menu is available which includes a variety of delicious homemade cakes.
Camille at Pettits also provide outside catering in the form of hot and cold buffets for up to fifty people and can quote for any specific requirements.
Whether you're on a shopping trip or just visiting the historic town of Wallingford, Camille and her staff welcome you to Camille at Pettits.
